Per Anton Sæther

Per Anton is an experienced veterinarian who, together with the company MarinHelse AS, entered the Åkerblå Group system in July 2020. He graduated from the Justus Liebig University in Germany in 1993 and has worked closely with the aquaculture industry ever since. In addition to being a senior consultant at Åkerblå, he also has a part-time position at the University of Tromsø where he teaches fish health and fish welfare, and in particular related to recycling technology. Per Anton has always been focused on operations and operational procedures in the field. He has worked for several years both at freshwater facilities and at sea locations along the Norwegian coast. In recent years, the focus has increased significantly on land-based farming and challenges at the intersection of industry and fish physiology. Per Anton still has regular health follow-up in land-based facilities in Norway, as well as regular assignments abroad related to land-based production of both smolt, post-smolt and slaughtered fish. He has participated in a lot of scientific work, and is co-author of several scientific articles related to fish health and fish welfare.
