Roman Netzer

Roman Netzer is a senior researcher in the Aquaculture Department at SINTEF Ocean and has been with SINTEF since 2006. Since 2018, he has worked on projects related to water quality in fish farms. He is a biotechnologist with a background in microbiology, biochemistry and genetics, and holds a PhD in biology from the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf.

In recent years, he has worked extensively with quantification of individual microorganisms, mapping of bacterial communities, chemical water quality and nanobubble oxygenation in RAS. In addition, he works with genetic analysis of cnidarians and detection of nettle cells on fish in cages.
