MFPg-BNRWIw
Ingrid Lein is a senior scientist at Nofima at Sunndalsøra. For more than 30 years, she has worked with reproductive biology and fry production in various marine fish species. She has also worked to find causes of developmental defects in salmon and rainbow trout. She is particularly interested in how egg quality, environment and nutrition in early life stages affect the development and welfare of the fish, and is therefore concerned that the development of technology and farming methods must take biology into account. Lein has a background as a Master of Science in Aquaculture from NLH, and has a Dr. Scient. degree in aquaculture from the University of Bergen.
