Anja Striberny

Anja Striberny is a scientist at Nofima’s Production Biology Department. She completed her PhD at UiT The Arctic University of Norway in 2018 and has since worked primarily on projects investigating how key environmental factors, such as light and temperature, affect fish physiology, health and welfare.

Her particular focus is smolt production and how environmental conditions can be adapted to meet fish needs at different life stages, ensuring good development, health and performance in both the short and long term.

At this year’s conference, she will present results from the IllumiAkva project. Funded by the Norwegian Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Fund (FHF), the project aims to support more species- and life-stage-specific use of light in salmon and trout farming.
