She completed a PhD in molecular biology at the University of Bergen, specialising in halibut, and has worked for several years on fish health and disease transmission in halibut, cod and salmon at the Institute of Marine Research and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute.<\/p>\n<p>She also spent several years working on vaccine development at Vaxxinova and has served as a member of the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment (VKM), in the areas of animal health and animal welfare. In recent years, she has contributed to evidence support for management authorities and research on preventing disease transmission, with a particular focus on biosecurity.
