His research focuses on computer vision and artificial intelligence, particularly methods for observing fish behaviour, health and welfare in aquaculture. He leads and contributes to research projects developing camera-based methods for monitoring individual salmon and welfare-related indicators under production conditions. He is also affiliated with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) as an associate professor.<\/p>\n<p>His presentation will draw on examples from ongoing research to show how computer vision can extract information about welfare-related indicators from video and images.
